Supporting women pit-masters and barbecue businesses in Australia

Low and slow barbecue can come across as a bit of a boy’s club sometimes, but did you know that the first pit-masters were probably women? It makes sense, given that early human tribal structure evolved so that men became hunters and women became cooks. So how come the women got kicked out of the pit? We’re here to reclaim and celebrate our place in front of the coals.

Whether you’re a home cook, competition barbecue pit-master, caterer, brand representative, competition barbecue judge, event organiser or just a barbecue enthusiast, we have a place for you at our table. All women and non-binary folk are welcome here. No longer just “dude-food”, some of the best barbecue across the globe is made by us.

But we’re definitely not pushing the blokes out of the way. There’s plenty of room for everyone in front of the fire, and a lot of the best businesses and teams are comprised of a mixed crew. We’re just here to make sure everyone gets their time in the glow.
